Download this page as a PDF document Danny was presented to HRH Prince Charles for his many award winning environmental initiatives. He also ‘saved’ a rare wild flower meadow for future generations to enjoy (Britain has lost 97% of its wild flower meadows since the 1940s). His private meadow is available for a ‘walk and talk’ event where you can enjoy the beautiful Yorkshire countryside in the company of a great artist and environmentalist. In 2003 he was commissioned to commemorate Britain’s first motorway toll road in watercolour as a limited edition published print ‘Transport, Travel and Toll’. Just 100 prints were made from the original work. Danny was a pioneer of art on cruise ships, and painted ‘around the world’ with P & O as a cruise lecturer in the 1980s. Following this he launched his own exhibition ‘from Barnsley to Bombay’ raising money and awareness for the blind in India. He has appeared on over 500 radio and TV shows and is well respected for his contribution to art education in schools. Danny was the resident art tutor at the prestigious Marlborough College for many years and is artist in resident at the annual Marlborough Jazz Festival. Having spent a lifetime in the arts, Danny Clarke is an art expert, a performance artist, a song writer, singer and poet. He is a true English gentleman with a flamboyant and eccentric personality and will be a great enhancement to your visit to England. This programme can be a two day stay at Hazelwood Castle, combined with Fine Dining on arrival with an introduction and music by Danny Clarke. This programme can be enhanced by a full day tutorial, painting in York. Danny has a YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/GranvilleDannyClarke whilch includes showreels and tutorials.
